Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.

Applications at the moment are open and may shut on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should fulfill the following requirements:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a home using a combined gross household income that doesn't exceed R350 000 per annum.

• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined household profits doesn't exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and need not submit any evidence of earnings.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all website South African citizens and permanent citizens from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.

Applicants are reminded to supply the right Id Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected of their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds people who are learning or intend to research in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges here should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
